Kärcher FC7 Cordless -…

My Kärcher FC 7 arrived in the final week of June. Overall the set up was more difficult than I imagined it would be. There is an abundance of information and manuals either black and white, colour or online through a QR code. The latter is generally sufficient for the set up and operation, physical manuals are becoming less relevant with emerging technology. An observation I made was the use of styrofoam (hateful substance), got stuck in the parts near the rollers and despite a week's worth I can't get rid of it without tweezers. The device does feel solidly built and of fantastic quality from good materials. The useability of the machine is there it really shines and I must say it surpassed my expectations, effortlessly cleaning up a spillage from baking with two toddlers. The FC7 glides along the surface leaving a streak free shine that is not saturating the floor. Charge time is around 4 hours for full charge but I have no idea how long it lasts as I did the whole house (single storey 4x3) in 30 minutes and was still showing two battery indicators. Issues I have with machine are; it is a large bully machine that isn't that aesthetically pleasing especially when sat on the plastic block for storage. Really not that discreet. The water tank is very small and needs to be constantly refilled and emptied (3 times in house clean). Final problems lies in the tiny bottle of detergent that is included. I was expecting to use more and have a fragrant scent after use. When I mop the house I leave it smelling great whilst disinfecting along the way. It seems Kärcher have created something that does combine vacuuming and mopping, but is certainly not revolutionary but is more than a mere gimmick. Did I enjoy using the Kärcher FC 7 - Yes. Did it do everything it promised- Yes. Would I recommend to friends or family - No. As straightforward as the FC7 is, it just doesn't do away with an old fashioned wet mopping and the bulkyness of it is storage requires further research to decrease its size. A good but ultimately flawed design and not one I would spend money on
